- What is the difference between a Vermeer D20x22 and D24x40?
- The D20x22 S3 delivers 20,000 lb of pullback and fits residential and light utility work on a smaller footprint. The D24x40 S3 delivers 24,000 lb pullback and 4,000 ft-lb of torque, which carries longer shots and larger product in harder ground. Most contractors moving up from fiber to gas and water step to the D24x40.
- Is a Vermeer S3 worth more than a Series II?
- Usually yes. S3 rigs have newer Tier 4 engines, the updated operator station and better parts availability. A well-kept Series II at a lower price still earns its keep on the right jobs, and our listings show hours and condition for both so you can compare.
